Monday, again. Exactly one week ago now, I started this Korean language course at Yonsei University. I’ve been taught Hangeul, the Korean alphabet. It might look difficult and complicated, but don’t be fooled. It was made by a smart person so it all makes sense. Compared to Japanese, Korean thankfully only have one writing system. I still remember some Japanese, but I forgot so much. But to understand Japanese grammar (the way the sentences are built and stuff) already, has helped me a lot! Japanese and Korean are quite similar. But if I compare Korean to Swedish everything is backwards, so to say. Anyway, when I got here I really knew NOTHING. I didn’t even know how to say hello or thank you. But now, after only a week, I can actually read! Hopefully I will get better soon…
Also proud to say that I now know the way to school by subway. It’s not that far, but last week I got lost sooo many times. It was really awful, because I was all alone and it was late and dark. I tried so hard not to show my tears but yeah, anyway. I didn’t give up, at least!
