Should have woken up at 11, but for some reason I turned off the alarm without thinking why – and therefore went back to sleep again. How good. Then I woke an hour later with the following thought in my head “Wait. Wasn’t I supposed to be somewhere today?”. Oh yes I was supposed to be. I swear, this never happens (it’s true, I’m very punctual because I don’t want people to wait for me)!
And so I had to wash my hair but since it’s minus degrees outside it has to go very fast and it actually took less time than I estimated thank goodness.
And I did ride my bike like an idiot to the train station, but sadly not fast enough. The train was already standing there, waiting. There was the train conductor standing outside, and she shook her head when she saw me trying to hurry buying a ticket from the machine. I was too stressed to even think about how rude or weird it was of her doing that. When I asked her if I would have the time to buy the ticket, she said “no, you cannot come onboard”. I was taken aback by her reply, realising she’s not being professional at all. It’s very unusual with unpolite people (people who are meant to provide service, that is) in Sweden, to my experience. She could have said something like “I’m sorry, you won’t have the time” and at least faked looking sad, or something? No, not even that.
Anyway. She looked so extremely annoyed by my entire presence, I still don’t understand why. Sadly, this is going to be on my mind for a while now… 😔
So, I got my ticket and sat down to wait for the next one that would arrive in 30 minutes. As the good Swede I am, I clenched my fist and put it in my pocket. I’d be late by 10 minutes, but it’s okay…
