Denmark

Today we went to Denmark, to Copenhagen! Was a bit lazy this morning so we left home at 12. Oh well. Took the boat to Helsingør first, munching on a chicken teriyaki (my favourite) Subway sandwich. 🥪

We looked after some free museums to visit, and found The National Gallery of Denmark. It was a bit rainy but I had marked out on the map – or more like perforating the map with my key because I had no pen available – we got there pretty quick!

The museum was pretty okay, I think the most interesting part was how the Danish society looked like from the 1950s until today. After two hours there, we went to Strøget and walked around. Obviously we visited Søstrene Grene, a labyrinth store with all kinds of lovely pretty stuff for your home. I got some cute stamps and a yellow sticky lump that feels to good to squeeze with your hand once in a while. Also, I got a really soft pink sweater at H&M for only 100:- DKK (only to get some change to buy some roasted almonds from a street vendor).

Then it started to snow, and we were just in time to buy two semlas (can’t get enough of them) at Fahlmans before they closed, and a chai latte at Espresso House, before going back home.
