An eventful day

Today was a rather eventful one. After classes I met my Korean friend and we went to Sinchon (where I studied last year) because I wanted to re-visit one of my favourite omurice places – 딸기골! It was just as delicious, and just as cheap (24:- SEK). But I got to full to be able to eat everything sadly.

Then we went to Lord Sandwich (oh have I been thinking about that cheese sandwich) because I wanted to eat the most delicious ice cream. Unfortunately, they didn’t have ice cream yet. So I’ll be heading back during the summer instead, I guess. And I got the epic cheese sandwich, too!

Then we went to a waffle café where they got cheap and super delicious waffles with ice cream. Omnomnom. Then I took the bus back home (I have moved from the guest house now, to the school’s dormitory by the way) and I bought some groceries nearby. That’s when I realised it wasn’t as cheap as I thought. On the contrary from Sweden, it’s cheaper to eat out here. And this was the most cheap that I could find. In total I paid 300:- SEK. Oh well. I got some food but also some cleaning supplies because my room was dirty and I missed that you could get it cleaned before arriving… I guess I did get a lot of stuff in the end, but I’m just careful with my money.

One thing I miss is the supply. Obviously, being in Asia they got different food here. But I still miss it. And I miss the low price tag, too. So yeah, this is something that I realised today. Travelling abroad is very good, because it opens up your eyes! Nevertheless, I guess that having a job – unlike me – you’ll be alright. If you paid the rent, will say. Else you’ll be living with your parents, which I’ve heard most unmarried Koreans do already. It’s a shame housing isn’t more cheap here!
