The sun shines every day, guessing that’s a good sign that spring is pretty much here now?
Yesterday was my first Korean language class, and so far everything is good. Will try to befriend my classmates, that way it will be more fun, right?
Unfortunately in my class, there are a few idiots who complain to our teacher during class. We’re like 15 students, from different parts of the world, most are even older than me. Anyway, what sucks is that these people really voice out their disappointment whenever there is a complicated task for them to do. They sigh out loud and show no respect. They even question the poor teacher, “why do we have to learn this?” or “we just want to go to our university, why do we have to learn Korean?”. I’m taking a TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) class, which is a part of our scholarship. We need to take this class so we can get at least the lowest accepted grade (Level 3) in order to continue to our chosen university next year. It’s a part of the agreement!
Anyway, I’m just in utter shock over this. It’s so extremely disrespectful, and I feel ashamed being a foreigner when I see other foreign students do shit like this. I have no words. Where is the gratitude? We even get a monthly allowance from the Korean government. Who forced you to even come here?
