I don’t even know where to begin. But for starters, there are a few reasons to why I’m not so keen in visiting Itaewon in the first place (a place with a lot of foreigners, but mostly Americans due to their military base there, I think?).

But so yesterday, me and a friend went there – at night (not the best option if you’re looking for a calm night). And we got to witness a lot.

Here are the top 3 weird and shocking things we experienced;

1. Extremely trashy/drunk/drugged prostitutes of both genders, walking by the streets, going out on the road and forcing themselves on cars passing by.
2. Almost-a-fight. Went to Taco Bell to eat, and before we even managed to get into the restaurant, a heavily tattooed blond Asian dude is running by – chased by another guy who grabbed his shirt in the process, tearing it (it looked just like a movie, I have to give them that) apart – and then he quickly falls to the ground. Shortly after, the cops come running after them both. I have no idea how it ended.
3. A young blonde guy, possibly European, walking with a significant older Asian woman. Yeah, so what about that? Well, the woman obviously did her makeup in complete darkness and she was barely wearing anything. And the guy looking completely drugged, no whatsoever emotions in his posture or face. He looked like he could be my age, and the woman his grandmother. I guess she was a prostitute (or him?) because we saw them enter a very cheap and dirty looking motel.
