My apartment

It’s been nearly two weeks since I arrived to my university, Konkuk University! So far everything has just been going smoothly. The place I live at now is a so called gositel, a kind of dormitory where you have your own little room (extremely small, if I may add) and then we share kitchen and washing machines. Anybody can live here, I think. So it’s not only for students – it could also be office workers.

In my room I have both a toilet and a shower, and a window. There are rooms that don’t have this, and I just know that I would hate sharing toilets with strangers. The room is around 6m² (not lying)! I don’t ever think I’ve been living in a small area like this before. I did panic a bit in the beginning when I saw how small it was, but you have no idea how quick one can adjust oneself! I don’t mind at all anymore, and honestly I wish they could build more apartments like this back in my country. My monthly rent is like 300€.

Planning to live here for the rest of the year, and then try to find something else for the next semester! I’m really interested to live in a so called share house, it’s a concept where you buy a bigger apartment with some friends and live together. We’ll see! 🏘️
