My book year of 2024 đź“–

This year I read more than I thought I would! At Goodreads, I set a goal of only reading 10, but in total I read 13!

Most of the books I read was really good, it was a good book year for me! I just pick some book from my book shelf in the living room, and start to read it. During the years I’ve bought books that I know I really want to read some day, and put them in this shelf.

The most shocking book/s I read were probably all of the kidnapping stories (Jaycee Dugard, Michelle Knight, Elizabeth Smart). The most sad book was the biography about Tim Bergling aka Avicii. The most boring one was Cynical Theories: How Activist Scholarship Made Everything about Race, Gender, and Identity — and Why This Harms Everybody, it was a really good book though and I think everyone should read it, but it was thick and very deep going so it bore me to the core. The book that affected my life the most was probably Atomic Habits by James Clear – I now subscribe to his weekly inspiring newsletter.

Overall, I think the best book was probably Arthur Golden’s Memoirs of a Geisha, it was a really good story and I looked forward every night to read it.
